Business Mogul Jay Z Strikes Again, This Time With A Champagne Luxury Brand Acquisition

People don’t need many hints as to why Jay Z is one of the all time greatest when it comes to music. The guy revolutionized the industry and manufactured music and lyrics that everyone could remember and spit back if you put them in the spotlight. But little is know about the business savvy of Shawn Carter (Jay Z).

Jay Z the businessman made headlines again when he recently bought the champagne luxury, Brand Armand de Brignac, also known as the Ace of Spades and commonly seen in luxurious clubs and VIP rooms. It’s the Rolls Royce of champagne, to put it simply.

The bottle of “Ace of Spades” sells for 300 bucks a piece, and was even featured in one of Jay Z clips back in 2006. The master of branding Jay Z doesn’t make impulsive acquisitions, he knows well the power of a brand and how much value it holds, so it comes as no surprise that he’s going for something as iconic and as valuable as the Armand de Brignac. This latest acquisition will also boost an already vast portfolio of businesses and investments that Jay Z already holds, from a record label, clothing line, restaurants and of course, his money machine hit records.

Jay z’s Net Worth: $520 Million

Should you expect free champagne showers in Jay Z’s club 40/40? Probably not, but is this something to rejoice about? Definitely! Jay Z’s brain power and personal brand will be a great booster for the “Ace of Spades”, and introducing the high end champaign as a cultural icon will greatly enhance the sales in the same fashion Chanel and Gucci became iconic when Hip Hop masters introduced them on stage and in video clips.
