In every city, there are hidden gems and magical places only few know about. In Buenos Aires, one such gem is I Latina Buenos Aires, a fine cuisine establishment that offers a serene escape from the city’s stress and cacophony.
Hidden in Palermo behind the secretive doors and white walls of a white villa, a magical world of flavors and spices awaits the most refined palates, a world imagined and brought to life by the Colombian Macías siblings in mid 2012.
We had the chance to spend a delightful evening at I Latina Buenos Aires restaurant, where our dining experience stretched for 2,5 hours. I Latina Buenos Aires is not your average cuisine haven: The Macías siblings, Santiago, Camilo and Laura, crafted the place and the menu to reflect a South American experience rather than a mere Argentine one. As easy as it is to find Argentine meat-heavy menus all around Buenos Aires, exploring more international, modern and sophisticated cuisine is not an easy task. I Latina Buenos Aires, in that regards, offers adventurous and elite clientele a culinary escapade that merges a South American all rounded menu with a modern and artistic execution of the finest courses to ever be crafted.
Phenomenal dining experience, courteous staff and unique attention to details. A great place to experience food as art, and to enjoy a memorable dining escape in Buenos Aires!
Everything from the dozen different courses offered throughout the evening, to the master set up of the light and decoration, makes I Latina Buenos Aires a culinary highlight for the few who dare to tickle their palates with more than just Argentine empanadas, milanesas or smoked meat. To name just a few, a white-corn arepas (flatbread) with anise, caramelized prawns with coconut sauce on a bed of pineapple and fennel, or an avocado and aguardiente ice-cream will turn out to be a significant upgrade for your food adventures in Argentina.
For the lucky ones who make it past the weeks-long waiting list, expect a world class service that blends professionalism with homely care, a phenomenal wine pairing for each course that enhances the flavors and highlights the story of each plate, an infusion of freshness and delight at each bite and a pure satisfaction in all aspects.
The genius of the courses’ choice and preparation is abundantly evident from the appetizers to the deserts. The mix and match of salt and sweet ingredients, the marriage of the most unlikely of flavors and the craftsmanship of the plate presentation makes I Latina stand out as the embodiment of culinary perfection.
The fact that I Latina is the highest rated restaurant in Buenos Aires according to Trip Advisor is no luck! If you happen to be in the Argentine capital, then a stop at I Latina should be one of your top priorities. The price tag and the waiting list may be daunting, but once you get to penetrate the marvelous world of the Macías siblings, you’ll realize it was all worth it!
