What if I told you that you could travel the whole world and earn $1,000,000 dollars in 3 years while blogging? Johnny Ward, a 31 year old Irish traveler who has now been to over 140 countries, says it is possible!
The founder of OneStep4Ward never thought blogging would bring him this much money. His working life started modestly after graduating in 2006. At the time Johnny landed several gigs in summer camps in the US and English lessons in both Thailand and Korea, but those quick money jobs weren’t fulfilling enough nor were they financially sustainable. Fast forward for a bit, he was offered a sales Job in Sydney Australia where he was able to earn up to $20,000 a month with commissions. “It was my first and only ‘real world’ experience, » he said. But he soon enough quit his formal “métier”, seeking life experiences more than ever. The money he saved during those 12 months and the creation of his blog enabled him to fly to Africa and inspire others.
Johnny was always worried about his future, as much as he wanted full freedom he knew that he would acquire it only with financial security and thus he kept working on his blog to grow it further. He has heard of people working from their laptops and making money but it still wasn’t his case until that day when he received that mail from someone who wanted to advert on his site. “$85 in my PayPal later and something big had changed. » he now believed it was possible he said and from that first chunk of money, cash kept on flowing. His revenue increased progressively after 6 months, going from $500 a month, to $1000 3 or 4 more months later… Before you know it, Johnny was making a whopping $2500 a month with only 5 to 6 hours a week of work.
But Johnny didn’t stop there, he was striving for more, and was set on creating his own little media empire. He went on to build several new blogs and sites to complement his income and increase his audience.Using the income he generated from his first blog, Johnny launched Step4Ward Media, and started hiring people. Working virtually with only four other people, Johnny made it to the $1million mark. “At no point did I get an office, and at no point did I require anyone to report their hours to me. “
Johnny Ward has now over 4 websites; he managed to buy a 2 bed apartment in Bangkok mortgage free where he spends 3 months a year in, and another place in London. His best month could rake in $60.000 while his worst stalls at $12.000.
Johnny Ward, a small town Irish guy raised by a single mother, says ” if I could do it then you too can do it. I did not grow up in a business-orientated house. No one told me I could do it, and no one taught me how to do it.”
When there is a will, there is always a way!
