Mindshare, which is part of WPP, is a global media agency network helping clients to make collaborative and adaptive decisions across their paid, owned, and earned marketing in real-time. “Content Decoded,” the agency’s themed annual media summit, came to a close on January 19th after a day of exciting panels led by celebrity speakers. The event took place at The Annex – Burj Khalifa, one of Dubai’s most innovative venues.
“Content Decoded” wowed the crowds with exciting panelists who shared their insight on addressing the need for highly-targeted and thoughtfully-created content in an increasingly crowded digital space. Mindshare MENA CEO Samir Ayoub gave the floor to the conference moderator Greg Brooks, Global Marketing Director of Mindshare Worldwide, who guided attendees through the day of thought-provoking discussion and panels.
“Adapting to a content landscape that is constantly evolving is critical for every industry and brand,” Ayoub said. “Our star-studded lineup of speakers was designed to excite and inspire attendees, who left the summit with the ideas and expertise needed to completely revitalize content for their businesses.”
Social entrepreneur and founder of Women for Women International Zainab Salbi inspired the audience with her talk, “Manifesting Dreams: Making the Impossible Possible,” while Robbie Douek, Managing Director – EMEA of Maker Studios, demonstrated the power of influencers in “I Want to be Entertained.” Dan Best, Executive Director of Strategic Business Development for Unruly, led “Seven Steps to Surviving the Adpocalypse” and provided guests with the tools needed to future-proof their digital video strategy; Jamal Edwards, the founder of SBTV, shared his favorite examples of engaging and high-impact content; and David Vincent, Head of Content and Partnerships for Mindshare Worldwide, hosted “Adapting to a New Era of Content,” where he presented helpful rules of thumb for using automated media, deciding when to invest in the best kinds of content, and much more.
The event also introduced a revolutionary networking and exchange space called “Huddle.” Two Huddles taking place during the event allowed experts to share content and engage in discussion within the theme of “Content Decoded” while sharing related product innovations that could match with interested attendees. Attendees were able to flow from station to station during their coffee breaks, mingling, networking, and discovering new solutions to content problems for their businesses from experts in the digital, media, and technology fields as well as the Mindshare team.
