No Money Like App Money: Candy Crush Hitting A $500 Million IPO

Candy Crush has been an absolutely sensation and a major hit for one of the worlds most successful game developers, King. With over a billion games played per day, the time has come to file for a mind-blowing IPO for this soon-to-be publicly traded company. Reports also indicate that King hopes to raise a total of $500 million from investors who, the company hopes, will be impressed by their numbers.

To date, King has an incredible interactivity rate, averaging about 128 million active users who play their games over 1.2 billion times per day. Obviously, Candy Crush alone makes up for a huge chunk of those numbers, attracting 93 million active users who play a total of over a billion times daily, according to USA Today.

Together with GoPro, King will become the latest tech business to hit the stock market, something a lot of individuals are labeling as the second tech bubble. However, unlike most companies in their field, the creators of Candy Crush are boasting solid and impressive numbers in profit.

Last year, the company was analyzed to have generated a crazy $1.9 billion in revenue, $568 million of which it took home as profit. Unsurprisingly, King owes a lot of its success to the creation of Candy Crush in 2012, which allowed them to jump in profit to well over the $500 million mark in 2013.
